Badger was the first of Suz's ferrets.
She was minding her own business, in a pub, watching Ferret racing, which was raising money for a local Ferret Rescue. While stroking, oohh'ing, aarrhhh'ing and occasionally holding various ferrets, Badger was handed to her to hold. Badger, knowing a soft touch, promptly cuddled in for the long stay and decided from that moment, that he was going to live with Suz.
It turned out, that he was homeless, looking for a new loving home, after the gentleman he originally lived with had had a Stroke was unable to look after him any more.
When Suz first got him, she was told that he was a "loner", and would not live with any other ferrets. As you can see, with love, and the help of some very knowledgeable ferret folk, he ended up living in a harem of up to 7 females, oh and 6 other males.
Suz took him to our vets on the 12/04/07 as he didn’t seem to be on form since Tigger had passed away and had lost weight. We were worried he was pining away. It turned out that although he was still fairly alert and cuddly he had complete kidney failure and also neurological problems. The vet said the kindest thing to do was put him to sleep.
