Tigger was the First of Clive's ferrets. She was Sandy coloured and was born in 2001. She was a rescue Ferret, and was thrown out of a third story window, by her previous owners, breaking one of her front legs in the fall. Other than that, we didn’t know a lot about her past.
Although she was the smallest ferret, she hd a large personality. She ruled the place with an iron paw, and didn’t let any of the other ferrets get to far out of line. She was a demon, and liked to hide under things, and leap out and grab you, as you passed. If you sat still for to long, she would do a “run by biting” just to get your attention. She used her mouth for everything, and this was a bit disconcerting to people new to ferrets, as she often seemed to want to bite, when in fact, she really wanted your attention. Once we came to know her, she only ever bit hard when being made to do something against her will, e.g vet visits, other than that, it is all just mouthing.
Just after Clive got her, he attended a local Christmas Ferret Show, and entered her in the Sandy Kit Jill class. She won, but as there were only two entrants, Clive didn’t hold the award in very high esteem.
Because of the win, she was automatic entered into the “Best of the Best of the south” Ferret show. This was held during the Game Keeper and Countryman show at Herts County Show ground during the Easter weekend of 2002. We do not really do Ferret shows, but as this was free entry into a large outdoor show, we decided to go, and took Tigger, and the others, putting them in the open classes. We were surprised when she won her Sandy Kit Jill class, but very surprised when she also got the best Kit in show, out of some 200 other entries. We realised that not only did we know just how special this little girl was, but so did the judges..

Identifying features:- Very Small. Very sharp nails, could get carried away, and nip when playing (Worse with women than men). Wouldn't usually cuddle, but loved a fuss while in her bed before getting up. Not a great walker on the lead, tended to just stand around looking, then climbing up to be held. Was normally found in Clive's arms or inside his coat sleeve at steam shows.
